Thank you to everyone reading this blog. If you’re anything like me, you want to know everything you can learn about a topic before you dive in and take action. You’ve likely scoured through all sorts of self-publishing websites and blogs, looking for all the information you can find before you make a decision. I was the same way. And, it’s worth it to be thorough.
There are a lot of great little publishing companies out there that can get a book printed for you. There are also a lot of self-publishers that have been around a long time, but haven’t kept up with the changing market. By that, I mean they are charging yesterday’s rates for a service that has become A LOT more AFFORDABLE in the past 5 years.
By A LOT more AFFORDABLE, I’m saying that ANYONE can afford to self-publish because, if you’re able to do some of the prep yourself, you can publish your book free. When I say free, I mean it doesn’t cost you anything and the book will be listed with Amazon automatically. Sound to good to be true? Well, there is a catch.
The catch is that self-publishing free means preparing your manuscript into a PDF on your own. You can also do that free, but you’ll need to find a program, learn to use it, etc. It’s not that hard though.
Also, AND THIS IS A BIG ONE, you’ll need to provide a book cover that’s also in a PDF form. That part is a lot harder than it sounds, I assure you. In the next post, I’ll give you some tips for getting an affordable cover, but for now, I’m trying to reassure you that YOU CAN SELF PUBLISH your book pretty easily.
If you trust me on this, subscribe to our email list and I’ll give you even more information. Information that you can put to use right away.
